Support and Outreach Worker (Romanian Speaking)

Salary £27, 625, permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week

women@thewell is a women-only drop-in centre in Kings Cross. We provide a creative and supportive space for women, whose lives are affected by street based prostitution, including women who have been trafficked or are otherwise at risk.

Many of the women we work with experience:

· Rough sleeping or other problems with accommodation

· Substance use issues

· Mental health issues

· Problems with the criminal justice system or the immigration system; or

· Are victims of trafficking and modern slavery

This is an exciting time of growth for women@thewell and we are seeking an exceptional new team member to join us.

Working in partnership with the Metropolitan Police and other organisations, the team will undertake outreach to support women involved in prostitution across London boroughs. We are seeking someone with Romanian language skills to reflect the significant numbers of women from Romania who are being trafficked to the UK at the present time. The successful candidate will be resilient, flexible in their approach to the needs of the women and will have the ability to work in a self-directed manner and experience of working with a range of external agencies.

For this role we need a multi skilled individual and a professional qualification in social work or a related field would be an advantage, though is not essential for the right candidates.
